If this is the first time you are buying from us, you may be wondering about delivery. We have all seen poorly packaged products arriving at our homes. If you are buying a beautiful Jack Vettriano print, you want to know that it is going to arrive in pristine condition. You need to know a book or a catalogue is not going to be damaged in the mail and the poster you have had your eye on is crease free.
We do our very best to ensure your item is delivered, to your door, in great condition and here's how we do it.
Limited Editions, Artist's Proofs and Signed Open Edition Prints
We take great care in the packaging of these to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition.
Mounted prints - These are wrapped in acetate to protect the print and the mount from dust. A hand-made packing case is built to the exact dimensions of your print. Building the case around your print means it doesn't move during transit ensuring there is no damage to the corners or edges of the mount. The print is surrounded by a thick layer of polystyrene and a plywood top and base are used to ensure the prints are protected from heavy or sharp objects in transit.
Framed prints - The same care is taken, as with the mounted prints above, with the addition of a protective edging all around the frame. The edging protects the frame from marking and scratches. We cover all glass in tape and a have an extra thick layer of polystyrene on top of the glass. Taping the glass means that, if the glass breaks in transit, it won't shatter and damage the print.
If we are sending framed prints to any country out with the UK, we will remove the glass before shipping. It's safer to send without the glass. Your local picture framer will be able to replace the glass.
We use a courier to deliver these prints. Full tracking details are given to you after dispatch and we also advise you when your package is out for delivery. All packages require to be signed for on delivery.
Open Edition Prints and Posters (not framed)
All prints are well packaged in postal tubes. We use extra thick cardboard tubes that don't bend, so that your print won't arrive creased. We use Royal Mail or equivalent postal service in your country. The tubes won't fit through your letterbox. If you are not at home when they are delivered, you may need to collect from your local post office.
Books and Catalogues
Our books and catalogues are first wrapped in acetate to protect them from dirt and dust. They are carefully packed to prevent damage during transit. We normally use Royal Mail or equivalent postal service in your country for delivery of these.
All delivery charges on our website are for UK delivery only. If you require international delivery, please contact us before ordering, in order for us to provide a shipping quote. We will need your post/zip code and the details of the item you wish to buy.
If you have any questions about delivery that we have not answered above. don't hesitate to get in touch.
