Choosing your items

We have all items listed on our website in stock. Our site is updated daily to ensure accuracy.

We are an online gallery, which is a authorised retailer of Jack Vettriano's works.

No. Jack Vettriano's Limited Edition Prints and Artist's Proofs were published by a number of different publishers over the years, and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) practices varied between them.

Many older editions were produced during a period when COAs were not always routinely supplied to the purchaser. In some cases, publishers would only provide a certificate if it was specifically requested. Additionally, while a publisher may have produced certificates for an edition, they were not always passed on to the final collector by the gallery or retailer that originally sold the artwork.

As a result, it is not unusual to encounter older Jack Vettriano editions without a Certificate of Authenticity.

Most editions published since around 2000 were issued with a Certificate of Authenticity and should normally be accompanied by one, although exceptions can occur where certificates have been lost or separated from the artwork over time.

If you are interested in a specific print, please contact us and we can advise whether a Certificate of Authenticity was originally issued for that edition and whether it is included with the artwork.

Artist's Prints (also known as A/P prints), are printed outside the regular limited edition print quantity. They are equal in quality to the limited editions and are signed as Artist Proof or A/P by the artist. They were traditionally the property of the artist and are usually limited to 10-15% of the edition size as well as being priced slightly higher due to the restricted supply. In todays print market, the A/P edition prints are normally sold alongside the regular edition prints at a premium. What is important to note is that the Artist Proof prints are of the exact quality, type, media etc as the regular limited edition (unless of course the artist declares otherwise). You can find out more about Artist's Proofs in this article.

Limited Edition prints are produced in a fixed, numbered edition and no further prints are created once the edition has sold out.

Artist's Proofs (A/Ps) are additional prints from the same edition, traditionally retained by the artist or publisher. They are usually produced in smaller numbers than the main edition and are often sought after by collectors.

Open Edition prints are not limited in number and may be reproduced as required, making them a more affordable way to own and enjoy an image.

The main differences are rarity, collectability, and price. Limited Editions and Artist's Proofs are produced in restricted numbers and are generally preferred by collectors seeking scarcity, while Open Edition prints provide a more accessible way to enjoy a favourite image.

Mounted & Framed Items

Each product listing clearly states whether the artwork is supplied framed or unframed.

Where framing is included, we only use the frame chosen by Jack Vettriano for his Limited Edition prints. The framing style is shown on each relevant product page.

A mounted print includes a presentation border (mount/mat) around the artwork and is supplied unframed. Mounted prints are ideal for storage or for professional framing in a frame of your choice.

A framed artwork includes the mount and a protective frame, presented as a complete finished piece. Framed prints are supplied ready to hang.
